Sweet Sobriety: Liberation

Liberation is a four-phase journey that takes you from nervous system safety to full-bodied freedom: you'll understand why you react the way you do, meet the shame and inner critic that have kept you small, grieve what survival never let you feel, and finally step into the question that matters most — not "what's wrong with me," but "how do I want to live?" This isn't another program about staying stable.

It's about getting your life back on your own terms.

Course Summary

Liberation is a four-phase program for people who have already done the work of getting stable and are ready for what comes next. It's built for the moment recovery starts to feel less like survival and more like a question: now what?  Most programs stop at symptom management.

Liberation doesn't. It moves participants through a deliberate arc from safety to understanding to grief to a life they chose, so that by the end, they're not managing a diagnosis. They're living a life.

Phase 1: Orientation and Stabilization
This phase builds the foundation everything else rests on: enough nervous system safety to do the deeper work ahead.

💜From Stabilization to Liberation — Introduction lays out the roadmap. This isn't about learning to cope better. It's about creating enough safety to reclaim a fuller life.

💜Nervous System Regulation and Polyvagal Theory gives participants a clear, practical explanation for why their body reacts the way it does, along with real regulation skills they can start using right away.

💜HSP, PTSD, CPTSD, and Survival Responses take that nervous-system framework and connect it to lived experience — fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and the other protective patterns people develop to survive.

💜Neurodiversity looks at brain-based vulnerability: impulsivity, reward-seeking, emotional intensity, and how these connect to addiction — without shame or moral judgment.

Phase 2: Meeting the Protective Self
Once there's enough safety, participants turn toward the parts of themselves that have been running the show without their permission.

💜Shame explores how shame forms and why it gets so tangled up with addiction, trauma, identity, and belonging.

💜The Inner Critic follows naturally: the inner critic is often the voice shame uses to keep a person controlled, acceptable, or "safe."

💜Embodiment and Body Forgiveness take the work out of the head and into the body. Participants start rebuilding trust with the body that carried them through survival, addiction, and recovery.

Phase 3: Processing What Survival Could Not Hold

💜Grief and Anger are their own phase for a reason. Once participants have regulation, context, and self-compassion in place, they're finally equipped to face the losses, unmet needs, and protective anger that survival never gave them room to feel.

Phase 4: Reclamation and Liberation
This is where the work turns forward.

💜Meaning and Inner Authority help participants shift the question they've been asking — from what happened to me and what's wrong with me — to what matters to me, and how do I want to live?

💜Spiritual Sovereignty: Reclaiming the Self Beyond Survival closes the course by pulling everything together — body, agency, values, connection, freedom. Participants finish not as a repaired version of broken, but as themselves.
