Megan Sloan is a Registered Massage Therapist and osteopathic practitioner with nearly two decades of experience helping people move through midlife and beyond with greater strength, balance, and confidence. She believes lasting change starts not with doing more, but with understanding how to use your body more effectively.
Any time I’ve felt off track in my life…I’ve gone back to the basics. Because when you return to the basics, you strengthen the foundation your body depends on — and that foundation supports everything that comes next!
In this workshop, Megan will introduce some simple and often overlooked movement strategies that help support balance, posture, and core stability in everyday life. These are not exercises you need to carve extra time out of your day for. They are small adjustments you can begin using while walking, standing in line, getting out of a chair, or moving through your normal routines.
With nearly two decades of experience working as a registered massage therapist and osteopathic practitioner across Canada and the United States, Megan has seen how improving awareness of how the body stands, walks, and stabilizes itself can make a meaningful difference in strength, confidence, and long-term independence. Many people assume they need a complicated routine to take better care of their bodies as they age.
In reality, strengthening the foundation often begins with learning how to use the body you already have more effectively.
Participants will leave with:
• a clearer understanding of how everyday movement patterns influence stability and confidence
• simple strategies they can begin using immediately throughout their normal routines
• a stronger sense of how to support their bodies in practical ways as they age
Nothing complicated. Just practical tools that help your body stay strong, steady, and capable for years to come. If you’ve ever thought: “I should probably be doing something to support my body as I age…” This is a powerful place to begin. Because lasting change doesn’t usually start with doing more. It starts with understanding where you stand.
This workshop is especially helpful for people who:
• feel like they should be doing something to support their body as they age, but aren’t sure where to start
• notice changes in balance, posture, or confidence in movement and want practical ways to respond early
• spend long hours sitting, standing, or working in repetitive positions
• want simple strategies they can use throughout the day without adding another workout to their schedule
• are interested in reconnecting with their body in a supportive and approachable way
• are already working on mindful habits and want their movement patterns to support that progress
No fitness level or previous experience is required!
